The Process

How We Work

01

Site Survey & Risk Assessment

A qualified surveyor conducts a full demolition or refurbishment survey of the industrial property, identifying all ACMs, assessing their condition, and producing a detailed risk report and abatement plan.

02

Programme of Works

We produce a phased programme of works that minimises disruption to your operations. For occupied facilities, works are scheduled around shift patterns and production requirements.

03

Enclosure & Controlled Removal

Full enclosures, negative pressure units, and decontamination facilities are established. Licensed operatives remove all ACMs in accordance with CAR 2012 and the relevant HSE guidance notes (HSG264, HSG248).

04

Large-Scale Waste Management

All asbestos waste is double-bagged, labelled, and loaded into licensed waste containers for transport to an approved disposal facility. We handle all waste transfer documentation.

05

Air Testing & Clearance

Independent air testing using UKAS-accredited methods confirms the area is safe. A clearance certificate is issued on completion.

FAQs

Common Questions

What types of asbestos are most common in warehouses and factories?

The most common ACMs in industrial buildings are asbestos cement (AC) roof sheets and wall cladding, sprayed asbestos coatings on structural steelwork, pipe lagging in boiler and plant rooms, asbestos insulation boards (AIB) in fire doors and partitions, and asbestos floor tiles in office areas.

Do we need an asbestos survey before demolishing an industrial building?

Yes. Under CAR 2012, a demolition survey is a legal requirement before any demolition works. The survey must be conducted by a competent surveyor and must identify all ACMs present in the structure.

Can you remove asbestos cement roof sheets from a large warehouse?

Yes. Asbestos cement roof sheet removal is one of our core services. We have the equipment and trained operatives to safely remove large areas of AC sheeting from warehouse and factory roofs, with optional re-roofing in GRP fibreglass or corrugated metal.

How do you manage asbestos waste from a large industrial site?

We provide licensed waste containers (skips or bulk bags) for large-scale asbestos waste. All waste is transported to an Environment Agency-approved disposal facility, and full waste transfer notes are provided for your compliance records.

Are you able to work around our production schedule?

Yes. We work closely with facilities managers and site managers to plan works around shift patterns, shutdowns, and production requirements. We can also work overnight or at weekends to minimise disruption.
