Why Choose Pro Asbestos Removal
Pro Asbestos Removal is an HSE-licensed asbestos contractor covering Surrey, London and the South East. We hold a three-year HSE licence, staff every job with UKATA-trained operatives, issue fixed-price written quotes before any work starts, and respond to most enquiries within the same working week.
Choosing the wrong contractor for asbestos work carries health, legal and financial consequences. The sections below walk you through exactly what we hold, how we work, and how we compare against the alternatives you will see in the market.
Fully Licensed and Accredited
The four credentials below are the ones that matter. Any contractor missing one of them should not be on your shortlist.
HSE Three-Year Licence
We hold a three-year HSE asbestos licence. The Health and Safety Executive issues this licence only to contractors who can demonstrate the competence, equipment and procedures required for higher-risk asbestos work. You can verify any UK contractor's status on the HSE asbestos licence register before instructing them. We recommend you do.
UKATA-Trained Operatives
Every operative on our team holds current UKATA training, refreshed annually. Our training records are open to client inspection on request. The training covers asbestos type identification, decontamination sequencing under HSG247, and the conditions that warrant stopping work on site.

UKATA ID No. 2598849 — valid 06/02/2026 to 05/02/2027. Issued by Asbestos Training Solutions Ltd, verified via the UKATA QR code on the card.
Download UKATA Certificate (PDF)UKAS-Accredited Laboratory Analysis
All bulk samples and clearance air tests go to UKAS-accredited laboratories. Without UKAS accreditation, lab results carry no weight in HSE inspections, insurance claims or property-sale evidence. We do not use unaccredited testing under any circumstances, even where it would save the client money.
Insurance
We carry full Public Liability and Employers' Liability cover. Certificates and our risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) for your specific site are sent on request before contract.
A Single Team, Survey to Clearance
We carry out the whole job ourselves. The same firm that surveys your property writes the removal plan, submits the HSE notification, removes the material, arranges independent air clearance and issues your final paperwork. No subcontracting. No three-company chains where you have to verify the licence and insurance of each link separately.
Survey
Refurbishment, demolition or management, depending on the job. See our asbestos surveys
Removal Plan & HSE Notification
Submitted at least 14 days before any licensed work begins.
Removal
Under negative-pressure enclosure for licensed materials, or to HSG210 for non-licensed work.
Air Clearance
By a UKAS-accredited analyst independent of our removal team. See air testing and monitoring
Documentation
Waste consignment notes, HSE clearance certificate, photographs of work in progress, and an updated asbestos register if your property has one.
Transparent, Fixed-Quote Pricing
Every quote we issue is a fixed price in writing. You pay the figure quoted. Scope changes you request in writing are the only thing that adjusts it.
Our quotes itemise:
- Survey and bulk sampling, where required
- Removal labour and equipment hire
- HSE notification fees, where applicable
- Hazardous waste transport and disposal at a licensed transfer station
- Consignment notes and clearance certification

Sectors We Work In
Homeowners
Most of the domestic work we handle involves garage roofs, soffits, textured ceiling coatings, vinyl floor tiles and bath panels. We work around occupied homes, and we explain everything in plain English. You will never be asked to sign jargon-heavy paperwork without a clear walk-through first.
Landlords and Managing Agents
Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 makes you the duty holder for any non-domestic property and the common parts of leasehold residential blocks. We produce management surveys, asbestos registers and re-inspection schedules that satisfy the regulation and hold up to enforcement scrutiny. Portfolios of three or more properties get bulk pricing.
Commercial and Public Sector
Schools, NHS sites, council buildings, offices, warehouses and listed properties. We work to CDM 2015 procedures, hold framework approval with several local authorities, and provide the audit document trail your compliance team needs.
Construction and Renovation
We turn around refurbishment and demolition surveys to fit project programmes, not the reverse. Tell us the date your start on site depends on, and we work backward from it. Builders we work with regularly are featured in our case studies.
Reviews and Case Studies
We have completed more than 2,500 jobs across the South East. Two recent examples:
"Booked a survey on Monday, removal done by Thursday. The team were professional, explained everything clearly, and the paperwork arrived the same day."
"Very knowledgeable team. They identified asbestos in the porch roof that two other contractors had missed. Removal was swift and the clearance certificate arrived quickly."
For the full set of verified customer reviews and detailed domestic and commercial case studies, see those pages. Each case study covers the property type, the asbestos materials found, the removal method used, and the documentation issued at handover.
How We Compare
The biggest risk in choosing an asbestos contractor is choosing the wrong type of operator. Below is how we compare against the three categories of provider you will meet in the market.
| Capability | Pro Asbestos Removal | Unlicensed Operator | Generalist Builder | Asbestos Broker |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HSE three-year licence | Yes | No | No | Held by the subcontractor |
| UKATA-trained operatives | Whole team | Variable | Rarely | Depends on the sub |
| Fixed-price written quote | Yes | Often verbal | Often estimate | Mark-up added on top |
| Direct survey to clearance | Yes | Limited scope | No | Several parties involved |
| HSE notification submitted | Yes | Often skipped | Often missed | Handled by the sub |
| Waste consignment notes issued | Yes | Often missing | Often missing | Issued by the sub |

Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can you start work?
Most surveys happen within five working days of enquiry. Emergency callouts for disturbed asbestos or halted demolition are handled within 24 to 48 hours when we have capacity. Call 07345 062075 for an immediate assessment of your situation.
Is your quote guaranteed not to change?
Yes. The only thing that adjusts a fixed-price quote is a scope change you request in writing. Disposal, notification and clearance fees are included in the original figure.
Do you handle the HSE notification yourself?
Yes. We submit the notification, manage the 14-day waiting period and copy you in on confirmation. You do not deal with the HSE directly.
What documentation will I receive at the end of the job?
Waste consignment note or notes for multiple disposals, an HSE clearance certificate from a UKAS-accredited analyst, before-and-after photographs, and an updated asbestos register if your property has one.
Are you insured for tenanted and occupied commercial sites?
Yes. We carry full Public Liability and Employers' Liability insurance. Certificates are sent on request before contract.
Can you work alongside our main contractor on a construction site?
Yes. We work to CDM 2015, coordinate on programme and welfare arrangements, and supply RAMS to the principal contractor in their preferred format.
